The Advanced Project Management course is based on an international methodology (IPMA) that groups the skills for PM into 3 macro elements:
- Technical skills: knowledge related to all technical, methodological aspects and tools used in project management
- contextual skills: all components related to the interaction of the project team with the context in which the project takes place and with the permanent organization of society
- behavioral skills: related to the relationships and interrelationships between individuals and groups working within projects and/or with external stakeholders.
The course is led by a lecturer who has obtained international certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP®). The training allows participants to be accompanied towards the certification process of the acquired skills, carried out by an impartial and internationally recognized third party.
Methodology
Through a PROJECT WORK, participants will apply the techniques and tools to a project in their operating reality. In the interval between the two modules, thanks to the tutoring methodology it will be possible to maintain a connection with the participants, placing their skills at the center of the training process and providing a direct channel of communication with the Tutor. The so-called “scaffolding,” or technical and relational support that promotes learning and stimulates the development of individual potential, in concrete and contextualized terms, is realized in this mod, and a new way of working is introduced that paves the way for the integration of different skills with on-the-job dynamics, fostering contamination among learners in the classroom.
Goals
- Developing work culture to meet the needs of change and competition, to improve work organization skills, and to increase the ability to be result-oriented
- Provide the technical and methodological tools to initiate, plan, control, and complete a “project” – understood as a complex initiative aimed at a result – in compliance with the entrusted resources, managing the critical issues and risks involved
- Raise awareness and develop behavioral and interpersonal skills for managing project management-related activities and resources
- To acquaint participants with the entire process of project management in a synergistic view between soft and hard components, according to a strictly systemic approach of related issues.
Program
The training is divided into 2 modules: the first is geared toward the acquisition of specialized technical knowledge and skills, and the second is focused on behavioral skills. The 2 modules are interspersed with a short period (3-4 weeks), which is necessary, to consolidate the acquired knowledge and to enable the development of a PROJECT WORK.
