Lean Thinking and Lean Six Sigma

Lean Six Sigma methodology constitutes an objective, scientific, structured approach that is universally recognized and used in many industries to improve processes and the quality of outputs of products or services delivered, consequently reducing the costs of poor quality.
The training course described is geared toward imparting the knowledge necessary to create the figure of the so-called Black Belts by putting the tools of this methodology into practice on a Lean Six Sigma project proposed by PRAXI.In this way, the company will be able to obtain internationally certified resources and at the same time implement process improvement techniques and tools.
The proposed intervention aims to train corporate resources to be taken to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification upon passing an Internal Project and a final exam.
The lecturers are PRAXI Black Belt Consultants and Master Black Belts with many years of experience.

Target audience

Professionals/Quads, Heads of Organizational Units/Directors already holding LSS Green Belt Certification.

Methodology

For the assimilation of how to use the presented tools, in addition to the theoretical classroom training part, a number of practical exercises and managed exercises using Minitab statistical software are also offered (installation of the “trial” version by the participants). A 0.5-day LSS Black Belt certification exam is scheduled for participants with an additional 0.5 days for correction/discussion and delivery of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificates.

Goals

  • Train and certify Black Belt to develop a Lean Six Sigma project proposed by PRAXI for business process improvement
  • To illustrate all the phases of a Lean Six Sigma project and provide an in-depth presentation of the tools associated with each of them, especially for statistical tools, with the possibility of applying them through practical exercises and the simulation of a Lean Six Sigma project structured in 4 successive stages of progress.

Program

  • The Lean Six Sigma methodology: phases of a Lean Six Sigma DMAIC project.
  • Resume of the main concepts of Lean and Six Sigma and DMAIC. The Role of the LSS Black Belt: Leadership and Team Management Aspects.
  • Process measurement through probability calculation and advanced PCA. Lean mapping techniques (shooting).
  • Identification of causes leading to deviation of performance from customer needs through advanced tools: Hypothesis Testing (alpha and beta), Anova (GLM), Multiple Regression Analysis, Linear and Nonlinear Transformations, Nonparametric Testing
  • Improvement interventions through advanced techniques: Kaizen Event, pull systems, DOE.
  • Verification and enhancement of the results obtained and standardization of controls. Using the MA, EWMA, COSUM Papers.
  • Black Belt certification exam.
