Lean Thinking and Lean Six Sigma

Lean Six Sigma methodology constitutes an objective, scientific, structured approach that is universally recognized and used in many industries to improve processes and the quality of outputs of products or services delivered, consequently reducing the costs of poor quality.
The training course described is geared toward imparting the knowledge necessary to create the figure of the so-called Green Belts by putting the tools of this methodology into practice on a Lean Six Sigma project proposed by PRAXI.In this way, the company will be able to obtain internationally certified resources and at the same time implement process improvement techniques and tools.
PRAXI’s proposed intervention involves training corporate resources to Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification upon passing an Internal Project and a final exam. The lecturers are PRAXI Black Belt Consultants and Master Black Belts with many years of experience.

Professionals/Quadres, Heads of Organizational Units/Directors.

Methodology

For the assimilation of how to use the presented tools, in addition to the theoretical classroom training part, some practical exercises and managed exercises using Minitab statistical software are also offered (installation of the “trial” version by the participants). In addition, a 0.5-day LSS Green Belt certification exam is scheduled for participants with an additional 0.5 days for correction/discussion and delivery of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificates. The total duration of the course is 7 days.

Goals

  • Train and certify Green Belt to develop a Lean Six Sigma project proposed by PRAXI for business process improvement
  • Outline all the phases of a Lean Six Sigma project and provide a detailed presentation of the tools associated with each of them, with the opportunity to apply them through practical exercises and the simulation of a Lean Six Sigma project structured in 4 successive stages of progress.

  • The Lean Six Sigma methodology: phases of a Lean Six Sigma DMAIC project.
  • Tools for defining the project: Problem statement, Goal Statement, Project Ring/ Scope, Business Case, Project Report, Project Charter
  • Process mapping tools: Supplier-InputProcess-Output-Customer (SIPOC), Value Stream Mapping, (Value Stream Mapping)
  • Tools for process measurement and analysis: Metrics, VOC2CTQ, Sample size
  • Process Capability Analysis (PCA) tools, Hypothesis testing, Regression analysis, Correlation indices, software that can be used for DB analysis
  • The tools and logic for planning, implementing and controlling improvement actions: Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), Lean Thinking, Action Plan. Control Cards (SPC)
  • The project team and business figures involved
  • The organization of a Lean Six Sigma initiative.
  • Change management
  • Case Histories
  • Development of an educational project using Lean Six Sigma DMAIC logics.
  • Green Belt certification exam.
