This module illustrates perhaps one of Lean’s best-known tools, 5S, for simplifying and organizing work areas, physical and virtual. 5S is also the basis of Visual Management, several aspects of which will be presented, and it expands to the aspect of Visual Planning: planning “Heijunka” to make work progress visible, an indispensable tool for implementing PULL.
Visual Management, or visual planning, is a tool for simplification, for which, however, precise rules of operation must be defined and applied, which will be explored in depth in the course.
The course is part of a range of “lean” training proposals, one-day “taster” courses to focus on a specific aspect/tool of the LEAN methodology.
