So-being in change: narratives for developing awareness

Individual Development
Target audience
Managers and Professionals.
Duration
2-day in-person course or webinar mode.

We are in a time when the ability to pause, manage and grasp change is one of the key competencies.
Change is desired but at the same time complex because we all recognize the resistances that are activated in change processes, but we are not always able to manage them.
In the course of the classroom activity, extensive use will be made of the Storytelling technique to identify metaphors and subsequently concrete tools to train the ability to So-state in change by activating a resilient approach and motivational drives.

Methodology

Interactive educational workshop. During the training, stories of change/adaptation will be analyzed: in particular, some metaphors of change will be proposed. Analysis of the stories will allow reflection on the importance of change, activating internal motivational drives and energies.

Goals

  • Analyze change in organizations and its impacts, to recognize what the potential is for improvement in managing internal and external customers and the organization.
  • Recognize the stages of a change process and manage them within oneself, without becoming unconsciously infected by dynamics and emotions such as disavowal of the past, fear of the future, frustration at abandoning habits considered successful, the need to see short-term results, motivational lapses, etc.
  • Recognize continuous improvement as a strategy for anticipatory change management and a long-term view of one’s role.
  • Discovering one’s innovativeness in a period of uncertainty, seizing the new possible spaces of accountability in one’s role, such as new cross-functional collaborations, better understanding of processes, proximity to internal and external customers, and optimization of certain activities.

Program

  • Impacts of changing organizations: on customers, on employees, on society
  • Relationship between change, creativity and innovation
  • Analyze emotions related to change and deal with fear of the new
  • Change as a switch of mindset and view of the world and self
